My family and I moved to Keizer in 2012 from southern Oregon. I am a natural resources specialist and a community volunteer.
I have a Baccalaureate degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington and a Master's degree in Forest Hydrology from the University of Montana. I have worked for various state, federal and tribal agencies in natural resources. During these years, I have lived in rural and urban communities throughout the US where I have seen how successful cities are designed and managed.
I applied to be on the Keizer Planning Commission because I was worried that Keizer is making the same mistakes that I have seen in many other communities. While my participation on the Planning Commission ended because of term limits, I am still a member of the Traffic Safety, Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee. During my time in Keizer, I have also served on the River Road Revitalization Advisory Committee and Salem-Keizer Transit Budget Committee.
My wife Nicole and I have been married for 12 years and we have two children who attend Keizer public schools. I have coached my daughter's youth soccer teams and participated at their school functions.
I am seeking to make a better Keizer for today and tomorrow by committing to improve the lives of all Keizer residents through better decision making, make our streets safer and making the City Council accessible to all.
